Voting

Voting at Highland Heights Community Center was on a Diebold machine that lets you view a paper printout. I did not see any problems when I voted.

I read that a recount might be needed in City Council race, in ward 2 . (In unofficial results for Ward 2, Leo Lombardo, 67, of Coldstream Drive, got 185 votes to 178 for incumbent Rocco Dolciano, 48, of Diana Court. )

For the at-large seats, the incumbents won. The unofficial tally found Scott Mills of Wilson Mills Road (WHO CARES A LOT ABOUT HAWTHORNE) getting the most votes, with 1,242, while the other two seats went to Ed Hargate, with 1,218, and Frank Legan, with 1,209 votes. Current Ward 4 councilman James Austin gathered 572, while newcomer Sol Chalhoub earned 181. Cathy Murphy ran unopposed. She cares a lot about Hawthorne also.
